English to French: Natural Resources Disputes General field: Social Sciences
Source text - English While intra-state conflicts over natural resources have dominated much of the policy and academic debate on the root causes of conflicts, little attention has been given to current and potential inter-state conflicts over transboundary resources. It is worthwhile noting that competition over, and the scramble for, natural resources between the industrialized and industrializing countries has created an incentive for the control of these resources by national and international players. As Africa has embarked on the path of structural economic transformation and industrialization, its demand for raw materials and natural resources will also increase, with the potential for the re-emergence of old boundary disputes or the emergence of new disputes over transboundary resources.

Bio
Born in Mauritius to a bilingual family, I grew up speaking French and Mauritian Creole natively while learning English from a young age since primary school. I spent all
my childhood in Mauritius and left the island later on to study in South Africa,
where I majored in Graphic Design.
I worked for a few years in Mauritius as a graphic designer and
then started my studies in translation. I have, since 2003, been working as a
freelance translator for various international organizations. I am passionate
about my work and would go to any lengths to deliver quality products and ensure customer satisfaction.
