At the moment I'm receiving the notices of new jobs about 3 hours later than they have actually been posted on ProZ.com. Is this always the case with non-platinum members?

Have you considered the time difference?
Sep 7, 2005
When I receive job postings and look at the time the job was posted, it usually shows a time 2 hours earlier.
This is because of the time difference. ProZ does not use CET, but GMT, so perhaps this could be part of the explanation?

Hi - I've noticed that today, notifications of peer comments to my answers are arriving about 3 to 4 hours after they were posted. I guess there's just a bottleneck somewhere. I'm with gmail, if that's of any help to you. I have no idea if it's gmail or Proz or somewhere in between that is the cause, though.

There is usually a time delay with job offers
Sep 7, 2005
I don't think it is anything to do with being Platinum or non-Platinum. I usually get job notifications two or three hours after they have been posted, so I find it a better idea to keep an eye on the site, rather than my e-mail inbox, i.e. if I am short of work anyway (otherwise, obviously, I leave the jobs for somebody else).

Some jobs require approval
Sep 8, 2005
Hi,
Some jobs don't go live in the very moment they are posted, as they need to be approved by Jobs / BB moderators. It might take a while before a job is approved, especially if data are missing, incomplete or inconsistent, as members of ProZ.com Jobs team have to wait for ex. for job posters to either reply to moderator's messages or to edit jobs.
Still, notifications are sent out in the very moment a job is approved, AFAIK first to Platinum and then to non-paying me... See more
