Questions in the wrong language remain invisible

I tried to enter a question for Eng-Fr about \"ether alcohol\"

Not only I can\'t find my question anymore (though I received a notification e-mail)

but my question seems registered in the wrong pair as I received an answer in a language I don\'t understand. This already happened to me. Did I do something wrong ?

...why don\'t you just edit the language pairs?
