For once, there is no complaining, on the contrary.
I have had the surprise today to find a forum list with the new postings onder the usual new questions on the homepage of Proz. It is the first time.
I mention it for the people improving the site that what they did works for north europa, in the netherlands.

You couldn\'t see the \"top ten\" (in fact more than 10 newest topics ?
That really proves that we don\'t see the same thing each other.
And you, ProZ staff, do you know what we see ? | | | Ralf Lemster Germany Local time: 17:09 Inggris menyang Jerman + ... I doubt it... | Nov 29, 2002 |
I doubt if that was really a technical issue of the site - more likely, a settings problem in the browser (resolution / page size / other settings). | | | lien Netherlands Local time: 17:09 Inggris menyang Prancis + ... TOPIC STARTER
I did not change anything in Explorer, and to tell the truth, today it does not appear again. I am sure that everybody does not see the same thing on screen, see the threads of \"Off topics\" forum, and today I have discovered, thanks to Jack again, a new forum, the \"Powwows Organizers\".
It is the same with the \"Smilies\", I do not have them and I know others do, they use them. And yes, I have the \"Disable smilies box\" unmarked onder the reply. | |

Those who follow the bugs forum have seen me several times with the home page stuck (thanks to Jack who taught me the first time I wrote sticked that it wasn\'t the right spelling, because I didn\'t know I would need that word so often).

The problem is that without changing anything sometimes one of the tables keeps being updated (usually the forums) whereas the others (new questions, jobs and featured pro)keep stuck. The first times when it seemed fixed it really was, and everything was OK. But these latest days it\'s terrible. It can seem fixed and it comes back. Sometimes one day, sometimes two. And it comes back always to the same point where it stuck the first time (same pro, same questions, same jobs). It\'s really strange, and it\'s really frustrating to have the impression that it only happens to me. Now (it\'s another problem, I know) I haven\'t got any mail from ProZ for 3 days.
There are lots of little problems and I think may be they can\'t be fixed at once, but there are problems.
So Lien, I understand you.

Salut Claudia,
I just wanted to let you know that I have been stuck also on & off for the past few days(mainly the picture of the featured Proz on the main page).
I never used to have that problem before. I see the updated forum topics (like you) and the kudoz and job board is not moving much but that is to be expected during this long weekend.

As for Lien with the smilies, I wonder if it has anything to do with your video card? Giovanni has a problem where he cannot see animated .gifs since he changed his video card on his computer and he thought there was a site problem causing this.
Just an idea, in case...

In order to increase throughout, caching is performed on the ProZ.com servers. Over the past few days, that cache has not been updating at the correct interval. Everyone has been affected in the same way, though it would be less noticeable for people whose language pairs do not have a lot of activity.
As for the \"Powwow Organizers\" forum, that had been set up improperly. Thanks for pointing it out, we corrected it.
