时兴自造词？

近日从图书馆借来余光中精选集，看到其中一篇文章中提到：
我迷上了地理，尤其是地图，而画地图的功课简直成了赏心乐事。不久我便成为班上公认的「地图精」（mapamaniaco），有同学交不出地图作业，就来求救于我。

一九七四年迁去香港，一住十一年，逐渐把我的壮游场景从北美移向西欧，而往昔的美国地图也逐渐被西欧、东欧各国的所取代，图上的英文变... See more

让人好奇的是，为何这两个英文单词我在英文词典上都查不到，难道是余老先生自造的？应该不是排版出现的typo吧？！ ▲ Collapse

英文中 -mania 是一个后缀，意思是…迷，我猜测 amaniaco 可能与此有关。

一般應該是Gaelic吧。

I think he meant "Gaelic".

Also the coined word "mapomaniac" probably should have been spelled as such if the intention was to coin a term in English(not Italian or other Latin languages).

来看，
余老先生的mapamaniaco显然是个自造词，不过老实话，就构词而言，还不如Mapomaniac来得“正宗”^_^
