إلى الزملاء في السعودية والإمارات،
أنا بصدد ترجمة مرادفات مختلفة لكلمة "رشوة" بالإنجليزية العامية إلى اللغة العربية. سيتم استخدام النص المترجم في السعودية والإمارات، وكنت أحبذ أن "اٌوطِّن" المفردات بحيث تكون مصطلحات عامية متداولة في هاذين البلدية بالتحديد.
في المغرب مثلا يشار إلى "الرشوة" بمصطلح "قهيوة"، وأعرف أن مصطلحات مثل "شاي" و"إكرامية" و"حلاوة" تستخدم أيضا في بلدان أخرى.

هناك العديد من التسميات حتى في البلد الواحد
فحن في جنوب الجزائر فتسمى بالكثير من التسميات العامية منها
'الشكارة' و 'الحبات' وكذلك -يمد عنها الباي
الباي يعني النصيب من الشيء
