trend UK vs American English Feb 13, 2013

Is there a general tendency to join TM'S in CAT-tools for UK and American English? I mean agencies policy and/or main industry managers that order translations choose to have one English version e.g. for their corporate website and don't bother wether it is for UK-English or for "general" purpose (all English language variants).
