Bio

Born in Brazil to a rather artsy family, I grew up nurished by great literature and culture, and my interest for foreign languages began to flourish when I reached my teenage years. Brazilian Portuguese is my native language, but when I speak English or Spanish, I naturally speak it from the heart.

I began my studies in Language and Literature, and later majored in English Translation at the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais. I graduated in 2018 with a brief six-month international experience in Catalonya, Spain, at the UAB (Autonomous University of Barcelona).

Regarding my education, I can also mention that I am currently taking a Marketing Management non-degree graduate course since I am as of today working as a publicist for a company based in Brazil and it will help me offer measurable, positive results to the company.

Also, I have been a self-employed English teacher since my second year in college, and that has given me great expertise in teaching and creating activities to a diverse group of students. So much so that in 2014 I was recruited to work as an English teacher in Bogota, Colombia. As an English teacher, I have experience teaching prep courses for the TOEFL-iBT, IELTS, TOEIC, and open language courses according to the student's interest.

Given that I already had some Spanish background from my experience in Colombia, I was able to develop it further, until I was awarded the DELE C2 certificate by the Cervantes Institute, back in 2021.

As for Translation, since 2017, I have been in the business thanks to an opportunity given to me by Mr. Márcio Rubens to work in his office. There I developed great knowledge on Legal English (certificates, acounting, school history, deeds, contracts, marketing, etc.), as well as extensive training in the area given by Rubens himself.

The aftermath of acquiring such great expertise was that in 2019 I was hired by the American company Translation Center based in Miami. The workload was great as well as the variety of texts I had to deal with.

Today I help Ius Natura translate, edit and share translated material with their clients, mostly from South America.
