Hello, I've received some Power Point files to translate. Unfortunately, DVX is unable to import any of them. I get the "Import Errors" window with the message "Deja Vu was unable to import the following files:...". No further information. I can easily open the files with my PowerPoint. I can see no unusual content, just slides with pictures and text boxes. I also made a test with a different ppt file I'd translated some time ago. I tried to import it into the current project ... I get the "Import Errors" window with the message "Deja Vu was unable to import the following files:...". No further information. I can easily open the files with my PowerPoint. I can see no unusual content, just slides with pictures and text boxes. I also made a test with a different ppt file I'd translated some time ago. I tried to import it into the current project and the result was the same. I cannot import ppt files at all!! It is the first time that I experience a problem of that kind with DVX. I would appreciate any suggestions on possible causes. Thank you in advance. DVX Pro 7.5.303 Power Point 2003 with all updates and patches installed. 1/ Make sure the file is closed. 2/ How big is the file? You may need to cut a really big one in two. Edited to add and 3/ Make sure powerpoint is closed on your computer before trying to import. This can make a difference.

I checked it twice. I even tried with different filter settings — with/without processing notes or a master slide. It seems that the project file got corrupted somehow. I created a new project and everything went as it should have at the first try, without any problems. Eutychus, Harry — thank you very much for your ideas and your time. Chris | | | Life can be so simple | Mar 2, 2009 |
