Source text - English Petrobras stayed close to the breakeven line in terms of imports/exports of crude oil and refined products. Net imports were 17 tbpd. This was sharply better than last year’s net imports of 139 tbpd, but a swing from net exports in the second quarter of 148 tbpd. Including natural gas imports, net imports were 138 tBOE/day. The third quarter is typically a stronger demand period for diesel, which accounted for some of the increase in refined products. Also, refinery throughput increased by estimated 136 tbpd, which higher crude imports and, at the same time, higher exports of refined products (since gasoline output increased, which would have been exported).
Translation - English The energetic integration of Latin America is a common aim which has been decanted for a long time. Each of the left and right movements (military, para-military or civic) are concerned, in its own way, about the energetic security and the complementarity of the continental energetic resources for more than two centuries. Common to all, these problems are the sempiternal isolationist objective (continental self-sufficiency) and the worry (normally extrapolated to the oral and institutional aggression) regarding United States. Among a number of countless and historic discourses about sovereignty, nationalism, sufficiency, and national defense, something really substantial has never been reached.
