Unabhängig vom Fallwinkel unterscheidet man dabei Gänge, die die Schichtung des Nebengesteins diskordant durchschlagen, oder konkordant eingedrungen sind, also parallel zur Schichtung. Letzteres wird Lagergang oder Sill genannt.
