Romanian term
chiftele vs. perisoare

Other
Food & Drink
Meatballs vs.quenelles?
Pe langa aceasta problema, as mai avea una.

Note from asker:
Multumesc frumos! |

Un alt căpos: Yorkshire Meat Balls: YES, "Meat Balls" is two words.
(păcat că nu explică de ce).
http://timetravelkitchen.blogspot.ro/2011/10/yorkshire-meat-...
There are dozens of vegetarian meatball recipes available on the Internet, despite the fact that anything that deserves the name meatball cannot, by definition, be labeled vegetarian. The word meatball is being used to evoke shape, flavor, and the role of the food in various recipes, and what is really meant is something like “a vegetarian version of a meatball.” However, it’s effective to say just the two words, and – if you think of the second one as being in quotes – a vegetarian “meatball,” meaning it’s only a so-called meatball, it works.

In plus, din cate stiu, "meat" nu se refera doar la "the flesh of animals as used for food", ci are si alte sensuri. Ca de ex. aici:
Vegetarian Mushroom Meat Recipes

There are many vegetarian meatball recipes that use meat substitutes, or you could try a recipe for other styles of meat free balls such as beans or vegetables.
http://allrecipes.com.au/recipes/tag-7374/vegetarian-meatbal...
This recipe makes use of our very versatile mushroom meat. This is the stuff we use in place of ground beef in any recipe in order to vegetarianize it, and it's much more natural than commercially available ground beef substitutes. These meatballs made with mushroom meat are a hit over and over again in our house.

Pt. cele fierte - daca umpluturi in coca - as cauta corespondente in gastronomia italiana.
