Hello, I am lost in the difference between these - description of the outer shell of a bus:
And then:
Does anybody know how many layers a bus's outer body has, and what their names are? This looks like they stick together two metal sheets and then a finishing layer on top of them?

outer shell/roof of the bus
The outer shell(body of the bus and the roof) can be made of three types of material:aluminium, steel, etc., not all of them together.
"A bus manufactured in aluminium has a longer working life with less down time, reducing the need for spare buses. Aluminium can be extruded into complex shapes allowing for intricate design and integrally strong structures. The lightweight feature of aluminium means the weight of a bus can be up to 400 kilograms lighter than steel bodies. Because aluminium buses are superior to steel, some of the world’s largest bus companies specify aluminium for their total fleet."
