If this is from France (for instance: http://www.wk-rh.fr/preview/BeDhHlKpCfAdHkJmImBf/editionXHTM... they're insurance entities created and managed by trade unions and employers' orgs that deal with employee benefits like sickness, maternity, pensions, etc., which come on top of what you're legally entitled to.
