Medical - Medical (general) / MRI scan
English term or phrase: Extension
Hi all,

I am translating a medical report and I am struggling with the following segment:

New tear of the left anterior medial acetabular labrum. Extension as is further supportive of the anterolateral acetabular labrum. An area of a residual cluster of Or Fraying of the Articular Aspect.

This is a report on a MRI carried out on a patient who's got pain in her left hip (acetabular labrum tear). The report is full of typos and the wording of the sentences is quite confusing.

I just don't understand the wording of the above sentence containing the term "extension".

My try is the following, but I don't think it makes much sense:

Extension como tal, mas apoyo del labrum acetabular anterolateral.

Any ideas?

Thank you so much,

Explanation:
Hi Olivia,

The wording is a little bit strange to me and needs further context because the English seems a bit off. It looks like it means "extension that further supports the anterolateral acetabular labrum"

( "extension that supports the anterolateral acetabular labrum more" )

Prolongación

Explanation:
