English term

couching (noun)

English to Turkish Other Textiles / Clothing / Fashion Embroidery
Couching is a kind of embroidery done on top of a bit of filling (like a small dab of cotton) that is put on the fabric and then stitched over to give a 3-D effect (eg. raised embroidered petals on a flower.) Here's what merriam webster says:

Etymology: Middle English, from gerund of couchen
: a style of embroidery in which a flat or raised design is made by laid threads or cords fastened down by small stitches at regular intervals.

I have searched just about everywhere and have not been able to come up with this word, which I need very much!

Thanks for any help rendered...

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Thanks to all who responded on this as I appreciate your time and efforts. I think this term is probably the closest to couching (although for some reason I couldn't get into the website suggested, but will try again). Since the entire book is about embroidery I need a more specific term for this specific kind of stitching. Thanks again!"
