Hola, me gustaría saber si ese término tiene su equivalente en español, he estado leyendo y se puede usar plantas "peaker" pero también me gustaría saber si tiene una traducción. En contexto: "...such as hot summer afternoons when utilities must draw on their expensive "peaker" plants to keep power-hungry air conditioners running." Chao, que les vaya bien.

neutral jack_speak : I thought plantas de reserva were the "back-up units" or "back-up generators," meaning the ones that are used on an emergency basis when other units fail. A "peaker" is used on a regular basis, for example, twice a day during the hours of "punta."
