貴池

別名Guichiで安(Anchin)慶と銅陵(Tonglin)の中間に位置すると有ります。
ベルテルスマン世界地図帳(昭文社)によると貴池(Guichi:コイチー)となっています。

同じ池州暴動の記事で人口がくいちがっていることについて推測しました。ワシントンポストの記事には人口12万とあって、別の記事(および池州のホームページ)には150万とあることの理由は、ワシントンポストの記事では、池州市の下町downtown Chizhouの再開発エリアのことをforward-looking city of 120,000と言い換えているのではないかと思いました。再開発計画については次に示すURLに概要があります。:

agree humbird : It is correct. Population figure does not coincide probably because it is talking about the entire region, not just that city.

Sorry, I have to reinstall the Japanese characters and they don't work just now. But from what I have found on the Internet, the first character is the one for pond (ike) and the second one is shuu in Kyuushuu, Honshuu etc.

agree humbird : Yes 池州. Riot is going on in the city and the city is in the Southeast region of Anhui Province(安徽’州) of China.
