government official's title
This is a title given to an Alberta government official (Canada). He is not a minister or deputy minister by the way. My glossary search led me to 主席行政責任者, but this kind of sounds like a title given to a minister. Could anybody help?

Comment: "Yes, this would be the easiest translation. I wonder what a minister does, then, if CEO does the actual work.
Thank you very much for your help!"

: "Shacho" sometimes refers to "President" for a company, not CEO.

Offen the expression "CEO(最高経営責任者)" is seen in translation.

I think these terms mean the top officer of executive office, e.g.governor, mayor and so on. Please refer "executive" in your English-Japanese dictionary like Random House.
