テレビやラジオを視聴する際、前番組からの流れでチャンネルを変えず、そのまま同じ局の番組を続けて観ている、又は聞いている視聴者を指す。ただし、定期的に放送される番組を毎回視聴することも継続視聴と呼ぶため、この用語を使用する際には補足が必要だと思われる。
