Snagging

English to Dutch Tech/Engineering Construction / Civil Engineering
Snagging & outstanding QA actions will be done via the XXXX commissioning system.

De term 'snagging' slaat op het proces van invenstariseren en repareren van (kleine) defecten en gebreken bij de oplevering van een nieuw gebouw. Weet iemand wat de gangbare Nederlandse term hiervoor is?

IMHO the original meaning is that some quality assurance tasks which haven't been solved yet (= outstanding tasks, snagging problems!) will be done via the XXX commissioning system. 'Snagging & outstanding' are adjectives to 'actions'. 'snagging' means disturbing, a hindrance, something impeding a process. Because of the grammatical situation in the sentence, the first one can't directly have the meaning of 'checking a new building for minor faults that need to be rectified' as defined here http://www.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/english/snaggin... because there is no process like 'outstanding something'. As 'disturbing and remaining', Dutch translation is easy with synonyms galore.
