When asked, after nine weeks of treatment and while still blinded to the study arm, which treatment period was more efficacious, 21 patients (47%) thought the fluoxetine period was superior, 10 (22%) thought the placebo period was superior, and 14 (31%) could not tell (p=0.14).

患者在治療九週後，仍未被告知自己接受的是哪一種治療，此時詢問患者，哪一個治療階段更有效，有21位患者（47%）認?fluoxetine治療期更有效，10位患者感覺安慰劑治療期更有效，另外有14人（31%）不能分辨（p=0.14）。
