I believe there is nothing in Proz Kudoz rules stopping the answerer from adding any notes any time , i myself get notes from peers after the question is closed .
Provided the note that i added is the translation that i forgot to put and apologised for that in writing (I think you noticed), also the translation that i put is completely different from the other peer's translation .as you might have noticed the two translations are completely different.my translation was only a guess as i was trying only to help.
