Proposed translations
by professionals for professionals/by the business for the business
... develop [this manual] with our practical experience for your practice
or:
"... develop [this manual] with our practical experience for your use"
By the way: "auf der wir auch weiterhin angewiesen sind" should read as "auf DIE wir auch weiterhin angewiesen sind".

You might want to leave the \"practical\" out and just use \"experience\". Sounds more fluent in English.

rephrase in this instance...
We're really keen to take users' input on board in future editions of this handbook.
(BTW the original is also incorrect grammatically in another way. It would work better if the last clause began "weil..." or something. Just thought I'd mention this!)

: IMO nothing wrong with the German. 'wollen wir dieses Buch weiterentwickeln' = if we want to ...

Hi Cilian - I see your point; I hadn't thought of that sense. But it still is poorly phrased IMO, as surely they're saying they *do* want to take acct of users' views - it shouldn't be an "if" clause.
