Tony M Oct 5, 2018: @ BDF I think it does sort of make sense, it is just poorly written in a very telegraphic style; I think they are suggesting that a 'portable' jig might be less rigid (i.e. have some spring in it), and that a proper jig fixed to the workbench would be better. But lack of overall context makes it impossible to understand exactly what they are actually talking about!
