Hello everyone,
The term 'renounced letters of acceptance' appears in a list of documents that a company is required to keep for a certain time for purposes of the document retention policy. The next term on the list is 'renounced letters of allotment' and several other items in the list deal with stocks, share certificates, etc. Any idea how to translate 'renounced' here? i'm afraid I have no more context than that. Your suggestions are welcome thanks!

où, apposée à « renounced shares », l’expression « renounced letters of acceptance” semble prendre le sens de lettres d’acceptation annulées ou révoquées.
Par ailleurs, à mon avis, le même sens se dégage du texte suivant où il m’apparaît clair de « renounced », « renouncees » a le sens d’une renonciation, d’un désistement, d’un retrait :

J’ai tenu pour acquis que la lettre émanait de la Société, mais il semble aussi qu’elle puisse émaner d’un tiers. Par exemple, une personne souscrit à des actions, reçoit la lettre d’acceptation de sa souscription, mais finalement, se rétracte et renonce à souscrire; ou encore, un tiers se voit attribuer des actions par la Société, mais les refuse. Dans ce sens, « renounced » a effectivement le sens d’une renonciation :
