Din usa in usa. Tehnica rentabila de vanzare a produselor si serviciilor, in zone rezidentiale concentrate. Agentii de vanzari suna la usa si isi pledeaza cauza pe loc, in pragul usii. Tehnica este eficienta in cazul in care sunt necesare demonstratii sau explicatii. Modelele de pledoarii de vanzari sunt cele pentru aspiratoare de praf, enciclopedii si polite de asigurare.

Vânzarile la domiciliu sunt ceva diferit, sunt vânzări cu livrare la domiciliu, adică de fapt cumpărătura se face în magazin normal, sau online în magazin virtual, sau prin comandă dintr-un catalog etc., iar produsul este livrat la domiciliu, deci doar livrarea, nu şi vânzarea, este la domiciliu; clientul află despre produs din alte surse, nu de la un agent de vânzări door to door care vine la domiciliul clientului şi îi prezintă produsul şi duce muncă de lămurire să îl facă pe om să cumpere.
