The Business Dictionary (http://www.businessdictionary.com/definition/marks.html) defines 'marks' as: "Letters, numbers, and/or symbols painted, printed, stamped, written, or otherwise affixed to cargo containers or packages for identification. This is a catch-all term in Swedish - see how many variations arise when you put "godsmärke' in your search engine, some are very specialised - see www.ventrafiken.se/index.php/se/godstransporter‎.
I feel "marks" is too wide, and here "shipping marks" would be more appropriate to what the carrier puts on the overall label, so I offer this as a generic option, while acknowledging that the context may require different translations in other cases.
