English term

A name taken by someone in his/her career

English Art/Literary Names (personal, company) Personal Naming
If "stage name" or "professional name" is the name an artist or performer goes by, and "pen name" is that a writer goes by, what do you call the name taken by any other sort of a professional? It's not necessarily a pseudonym or alias, it could be just his first and family name (which sometimes is not formal) instead of his full name or fame name. It might consist of one or two or three or sometimes four names.

working name

other possibility
Peer comment(s):

neutral Tony M : I would avoid this, as it connotes 'working title' = temporary tiel for a film;, book etc. whilst in production, before the final, proper name is chosen

aka

This stands for "also known as" and is usually used in connection with crimes, so it may not fit your context. However, just to be complete, if, say, a swindler moves from place to place, he usually changes his name each time. If caught by the police, they would list him in the records as Joe Jones, aka Bob Smith, John Brown... where Joe Jones is his original, given name.

As I said, may not fit your context ....
