English term
main symptom or predominant symptom
It is more preferable if explanation is given with definition of the terms and the references.
Thank you very much for your kind coorporation.

Discussion
After considering all answeres kindly given by answeres, I think "predominant symptom" and "main symptom" can by used synonymously, but "main presenting symptom" and "main symptom" may sometimes differ in the context. Unfortunately, it can not be judged in the case because of the limited information.
""The main presenting symptoms were gait disturbance...". So, we now know that there are serveral symptoms described as "main". It is possible that one of those might then be described as predominant, i.e. more important than/outweighing the other main symptoms. However, only you know the context.
The contex is that in a medical literature about childhood brainstem gliomas, the word is used as follows.
"The main presenting symptoms were gait disturbance..."
However, I would rather to know the exact definition of both words for educational purpose. Although I search some English dictionaries, I can not find any differences or definitions of those words.
If you have any suggestion, it is very appreciated.
