Briefly, the DOT number is a 10 to 12 digit number. The first 2 digits are the manufacturing plant, the next 2 are the tire size, the next 3 or 4 are the particular tire, and the last 3 or 4 are the manufacturing date in a week / year format (WWY or WWYY)
