2)Approved inventory levels:
Approved inventory levels are used as the basis for the replenishment of stock items in all facilities.
The inventory levels, as determined by the reorder point and maximum quantity, require approval in accordance with the facility’s documented approval policy.

Replenishment orders within the approved stock levels do not normally require additional “approval to buy.”
A facility may elect however, to establish guidelines for additional approval such as all items exceeding a certain cost.
3) *Capital and repair project purchase requisitions*:
Expenditure approval occurs twice on goods or services associated with Capital Investment Projects (CIP).
Approval of the CIP by corporate management documents their willingness to incur the expenditures involved.
