Prescription for technical examinations
Salut!
This appears on a technical examinations prescription for an MRI, as follows:
Explications de demande de diagnostic:
map svp
I think it means mise au point s'il vous plait (pre-op assessment please), but am not certain.
Any help appreciated!

Is this a matter of the heart? ;-)
Might it mean that monophasic action potential and programmed ventricular stimulation examinations have been performed and MRI is the next step?
"In this report, we perform cardiac mapping with monophasic action potential (MAP) amplitude. We hypothesize that MAP amplitude (MAPA) will provide more accurate infarct sizes than other mapping modalities via increased sensitivity to distinguish healthy myocardium from scar tissue. [ ... ] We acknowledge that cardiac magnetic resonance imaging-based computations would have served as a more clinically relevant gold standard method to quantify the infarct size in vivo"
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6843020/

"The purpose of this study was to prospectively assess the use of cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and programmed ventricular stimulation to identify patients with PVCs [premature ventricular complexes] undergoing radiofrequency ablation at risk for adverse long-term outcomes."

Pigmented Vellonodular Synovitis (SVP) is a benign neoplasm
with synovial proliferation and hemosiderin deposition, characterized
by compromising large joints, especially the knee. The prevalence of
this disease is between the third and fourth decade of life.

map could possibly be mise à point, or it could simply be use of English "map"

MRI seems to be a standard diagnostic technique see -https://radiopaedia.org/cases/pigmented-villonodular-synovit...
Pigmented villonodular synovitis (PVNS) is a rare benign proliferative condition affecting synovial membranes of joints, bursae or tendons, possibly resulting from neoplastic synovial proliferation with villous and nodular projections and hemosiderin deposition.

The correct English abbreviation for SVP seems to be PVNS
