La verdad es que he sido incapaz de encontrar ejemplos al respecto pero como plausible y como dicho apostaría por la opción de María Patricia.

Deben tomarse sistemáticamente los márgenes de resección de la vía (secciones transversales de uretra distal y uréteres en su porción más proximal), de las partes blandas pericísticas (tejido adiposo), o de los órganos adyacentes siempre que se sospeche invasión (vagina, útero, próstata). Es recomendable pintar con tinta china los márgenes de próstata y del tejido pericístico ya que facilita luego la valoración microscópica.-Es posible que los ***márgenes de resección ureterales*** se envíen aparte. En este caso no es necesario tomarlos de la pieza de resección.
