I think you're o the wrong track with your suggestion.
This is about rotations (Praktikum) or internship/sub-I ( Famulatur) during the 3rd and 4th year of med school ( in the US system) or the last 3 years ( roughly) in the EU system. So, I'd just say Praktikum ( if it's a "core rotation", as it is called in the USA) or Famulatur (if it's an elective). If you want to you can add "Humanmedizin'

I'd need the entire sentence, just throwing in terms doesn't really help. But graduate medical education is first Turnus (= internship), then Facharztausbuildung ( =residency) and later ggf. Fellowship.
