enjoyable / pleasurable experiences
"... and enjoyable experiences are created."
It does sound a bit over-the-top for a corporate cafeteria, but no more than the source text.

: The verb (schaffen/create) should ideally be followed by a concrete noun.

: It could be the Kantine of a manufacturer of food products, where new ideas are created/discussed. Only Asker knows.

moments of enjoyment (are made)
My husband and I both agree that this is not about food in all likelihood.
Schaffen at the end means that the employees have a hand in these enjoyments/pleasures, so we thought that was the best translation.

culinary experiences
or "palatable experiences"
would be another possibility in the context of company canteens/cafeterias

: or culinary sensations or delights, but in the "Kantine"? Wow, it sounds more like a Betriebsrestaurant than your normal run of the mill "Kantine" (some of which are even operated by fast food chains) :-)

Thank you Tom. The demands for more palatable food seem to find an open ear nowadays. My experience (entirely made in hospitals) usually was good or very good. :-)

while having a joyful culinary experience/indulging in culinary delights
"As our main communication exchange, the canteen (cafeteria) is a place where our employees cultivate inter-departmental relationships and hatch new ideas while having a joyful culinary experience (indulging in culinary delights)
Agree the last part is slightly over the top...
I translated the whole sentence to show that we may have to make the "Genuss-Erlebnisse" a little more specific. Seems odd to be talking about a cafeteria's merits without mentioning food directly. Otherwise, I have a sense that "pleasurable experiences" will not add much meaning to the preceding info even though it's an appropriate translation for the isolated term.
OR:
"In a delightful atmosphere"
..could be another option..

Here's another option, if we really don't want to go the culinary route:
"As our “communication central”, the cafeteria is a place where we create inter-departmental relationships, hatch new ideas together and create delightful communal experiences."

: The verb is 'schaffen'. The people who create the Genuss-Erlebnisse may not actually enjoy their work.

I can agree to the inclusion of schaffen but only if we change to active form. The German affinity for passive constructions sounds a little awkward in English, IMO.
