So it depends on the province or territory in question, and we need this detail to investigate further. tuteur > gardien légal CanE / AmE: court-appointed supervisor vs. legal guardian Explanation: Depends on the target readership, but tuteur légal: statutory guardian, FHS Bridge. I assume the légal goes with the gardien only.
