Rights to interpretation and translation in criminal proceedings:
The ISIT in Paris (Higher Education Institute of Translation and Interpreting) has signed a grant agreement with the European Commission’s Directorate General for Justice to coordinate a project related to the right to interpretation and translation in criminal proceedings.ImPLI (Improving Police and Legal Interpreting) is a comparative study of interpreter-mediated interrogation practices – especially police interviewing – in Belgium, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy and Scotland.
