... when if comes to the price of professional software. A mechanical engineer would have to pay $4000 for a single seat of Solidworks, or $9000 for a single seat of CATIA, the software typically used in that field.

Really, a few tens or hundreds of dollars for professional software is not very much.

I know of this one: https://www.ashampoo.com/en/usd/pin/0638/office-software/office-2016. The developer, a German company, claims that it is fully compatible with the Microsoft Office Suite (up to Office 2013).

I am aware that there may be compatibility issues but have not tried this software programme – I learnt about it after I had bought Office 2010.

I would appreciate it if you provide feedback on this software – in case you decide to try it out.

Hello everyone,

I'm looking to buy Microsoft Office 2016, and I found some cheap versions online, like https://windowspro.co.uk/ms-office-pack/office-2016-professional-plus-for-windows. Would anyone happen to know if these are legit or not?

Thank you very much!

Alain

I also think, that this looks too good to be true. But if you still looking for a cheap Microsoft Office 2016 version, take a look at https://www.softwarechick.com/. There you can get the Home Edition for around $100.
